The Barn is a spacious converted farmhouse retaining character and charm throughout with exposed oak beams in the living room. It is 3 miles from Durham City with its 11thC cathedral, many tourist attractions, restaurants and shops. Shincliffe Village is only 1.5 miles away, with its pubs and restaurants and there are lovely countryside walks from the doorstep.The Barn has 3 neighbouring properties and has views of Durham and its cathedral.
The property has 4 double bedrooms with 2 on the ground floor. It has a main bathroom with an air bath on the ground floor and a cloakroom and en suite steam/shower room upstairs. Facilities include an open fire and oil fired central heating with logs, oil, power and linen (duvets) included, together with a travel cot and highchair. There is also a garage for 2 cars and a driveway for 4 more. Outside the property benefits from gardens to relax in after exploring Durham, Newcastle or Northumberland.
Stabling is available (must be pre-arranged with the owner). There is an unfenced pond 50 yards from house. The Barn is non-smoking.
